CRNAs: The Future of Anesthesia Care Today is a public awareness campaign to educate key audiences about the role and value of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in delivering anesthesia care in today’s—and tomorrow’s—U.S. healthcare system.
New Website for Healthcare Decision-Makers
Built on a foundation of in-depth research gathered through interviews and surveys with healthcare facility administrators and policymakers, the campaign is designed to educate and inform those audiences as well as healthcare professionals who work alongside CRNAs, patients and their families, and others who rely on anesthesia care provided by CRNAs.
The campaign features a new website, www.future-of-anesthesia-care-today.com, with information on the cost-effectiveness, education, safety, and accessibility of CRNAs, who were the first recognized anesthesia specialists, dating back to the U.S. Civil War. Website highlights include:
AANA Member Engagement
CRNAs: The Future of Anesthesia Care Today will also engage AANA members by enlisting their help in spreading the word about how CRNAs are perfectly suited to meet today’s healthcare challenge of delivering safe, quality care to more people without burdening the healthcare system.
AANA members can find additional public relations resources here.
CRNAs are key to the future of anesthesia care, as the U.S. healthcare system comes to rely more heavily on advanced practice nurses and other non-MD/DO professionals to ensure access to patient care that is both extremely safe and extremely cost-effective.
