VTANA cares about the health and well-being of CRNAs. We have compiled a list or important resources for CRNAs in Vermont who are interested in exploring wellness and peer assistance opportunities. In addition, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists has developed valuable resources to help CRNA members enhance their personal and professional quality of life. AANA’s Health and Wellness program provides information on a variety of topics.
VTANA and AANA recognize that anesthesia providers, because of their exposure and the nature of their work, face a high occupational risk for substance misuse. Our Peer Assistance Programs offer information and assistance for CRNAs and student nurse anesthetists for getting help.
Following are resources for CRNAs and student nurse anesthetists in Vermont who are facing chemical dependency or substance misuse issues. This assistance is also for the families, friends, coworkers, managers, supervisors, or colleagues seeking information or guidance.
