The Vermont Association of Nurse Anesthetists works on a state and national level to advocate for patient safety, access to quality healthcare services, scope of practice, educational funding and many other legislative and regulatory matters.
VTANA tracks state and federal legislation and regulations affecting nurse anesthesia practice. VTANA provides testimony in the Vermont Statehouse on issues that relate to our industry and professional practice.
VTANA works closely with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) on issues related to patient safety, access to healthcare, and cost-effective delivery of healthcare services. VTANA’s Federal Political Director coordinates the association’s advocacy efforts to ensure that federal policy initiatives achieve the goals of the association. With more than 47,000 members of AANA, we provide a strong voice in our nation’s capitol.
