National CRNA Week is the AANA’s annual celebration of anesthesia patient safety and the nation’s 48,000+ Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and student registered nurse anesthetists who safely and cost-effectively provide more than 34 million anesthetics each year.Known as National Nurse Anesthetists Week as recently as 2014, the new name for this popular event helps patients, hospital administrators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and others become more familiar with the CRNA credential and the exceptional advanced practice registered nurses who have earned it.
The theme for National CRNA Week 2015 is “CRNAs: The Future of Anesthesia Care Today,” which carries through on the theme of the AANA’s national public education campaign that was launched on Sept. 4, 2014. The campaign website, www.future-of-anesthesia-care-today.com, provides a wealth of information for hospital administrators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, patients and others who have an interest in ensuring patient access to safe, cost-effective anesthesia care.Celebrate CRNA Week by downloading promotional materials from AANA.
